“Come to me”, I cry.
But she walks away.
Her ignorance shatters my bones ‘n leaves me for dead.
“Don’t leave me here.”
Yet she does not turn.
My lungs deflate, relieving me of any remaining strength.
“You’re dead to me.”
She mutters under her breath.
‘n all that I care for in this world comes crashing down.
I sit alone in the corner.
My eyes red ‘n wet.
A heart that soon stops beating,
Lies heavy with regret.
‘n though I wish to chase you,
‘n though I wish to scream,
I stay here ‘n accept my fate.
For you were just a dream.
To me you are perfection.
A fantasy come true.
It never would have lasted.
I never deserved you.. !
